All our assessments are ideally supported by 1-on-1 Executive Coaching. This allows people to not only understand their behaviour but more importantly work our how to change behaviours and develop and grow.
For any 360-degree Leadership, Emotional Intelligence or other 360-degree assessments in particular, we usually ask for a guarantee of at least 6 hours supporting individual coaching (or similar). We rarely administer any 360-degree assessment without this assurance.
Our thinking behind this is that it’s simply human nature that people are often quite challenged by their 360-degree assessment results and many need some sort of professional independent support to feel psychologically safe.
We also find that even the most self-aware executive usually needs a high degree of assistance translating the awareness that the 360-degree or other assessment has given them into practical positive action in the workplace. Often people understand the feedback, but have little practical idea what they actually need to do about it!
And more often than not, leaders may not be as self-aware as they think, so 360-degree Executive Coaching support is critical, not a nice-to-have!
